Hair Transplant Techniques

Sapphire FUE Technique

One of the most popular hair transplantation techniques worldwide today is Sapphire FUE, applied using sapphire blade technology. In this technique, the micro-channel opening tools are made of sapphire, which allows the channels to heal faster. Sapphire FUE leaves a natural appearance in the donor area by taking hair follicles one by one and is considered a minimally invasive surgical procedure. Due to not requiring stitches, the scar and postoperative period are minimal. The advantages of Sapphire FUE include blades that do not lose sharpness, minimal tissue trauma, no circulation problems, low risk of infection and allergy, a quick healing process, the possibility of dense implantation, and minimal postoperative edema.

DHI Technique

The DHI technique, also known as the pen technique, is a method used in hair transplantation. The patient’s hair is analyzed to determine the follicle concentration in the donor area, and the number of follicles is calculated. The collected follicles are placed into the scalp using an “implant pen.” This method, performed under local anesthesia, selects the pen type according to the hair’s thickness. Since it is applied without opening channels, it has the shortest healing process and does not cause scabbing. It allows for closer placement of follicles and makes it easier to determine the direction of the hair. This technique, offering a fast healing process, is among the most preferred methods.
